Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta today announced an updated MotoGP calendar in the pre-Qatar GP press conference, with the end of ’20 now taking a similar shape to last year’s schedule.
The Aragon GP will now move from its original October 4th date to a week earlier on the the 27th of September, while the delayed Thailand GP takes the space vacated by Aragon just a week later.
The triple header consisting of the Japanese GP, Australian GP and the Malaysian event at Sepang will then follow two weeks later before the season finale at Valencia caps off the year a fortnight afterwards.

The Thailand race-held at the Buriram International Circuit-was initially due to be held as the second round of the ’20 season on the 22nd March, but effectively became the season opener following the cancellation of the Qatar MotoGP contest due to the Covid-19 epidemic forcing the nation to ban any Italian parties attempting to enter the country.
The Thai round was then announced as delayed indefinitely just hours later, with the United States GP now set to host the opening round of the premier class season in early April.
